This play along volume is great for established players...The violin music, double stops and all, is nice and
large.. Easy to see and well presented... The CD is very good.....Highly rated for all very good violin players..
Not for beginners....Maybe they can make a CD for those of us who are just learning...Melody line only...
with a slow accompaniment for beginners.. and a faster one after you learn...
But.. Excellent....for players at a certain level... pgs

This is an excellent source for the more advanced violinist/fiddler. The accompaniment tracks are top-notch, and the example performance tracks are great, too. Be forewarned -- these are not basic, simple tunes. They will challenge you!
Not for beginers by .. hypoxic#1 (MO)
This is not for someone who just started playing violin. Songs are challenging. The tracks on the cd are listed out of order in the book.
The play along cd is a nice feature. You have one track that plays the violin part and you have a separate track that plays only accompaning instruments so you can play along. It also has a feature on the cd that slows the tempo down. I could not get this work on my PC. The cd will work on any cd player.
